Our report

Postzegels uit allerlei landen! Postzegels uit allerlei landen!

I wanna love you and treat you right !

Siddharta Gautana is portraited in full glory on the bottom of the swimming pool and we think it’s Buddha. The writing’s on the wall…nothing is what it seems in Indonesia.

The main gate to Indonesia is Bali.Blatant Denpassar is not our idea of vacation.Ubud,on the contrary is.Even in the crowded and touristic streets you’ll find little jems of hotels with rice fields in their backyard.

Our absolute goal for this trip will be NP Komodo, between Flores and Sumbawa.

Een goede kijk op het leven vereist een goed zicht!
I don't know the question...but diving is definitely the answer.
Paspoorten Paspoorten Paspoorten Paspoorten

Back to Bob Marley.
Landing on Flores is like arriving in Kingston Town.

Strange to see Asifaries….with endless rice fields and volcanoes on the background.
From the port of Labuan Bajo you can reach Komodo in one day, even in ramshackle barge.

A live-aboard on the Wunderpus is the ideal way to enjoy the atmosphere. The name sounds like a bad German pornmovie but it refers to the cute octopus in jail-outfit.

Instant home-feeling on this boat.It is a magnificent Phaenecian, build in Labuan Bajo.Mike, the captain is the first-rate guide to introduce soft corals, sharks, manta’s,underwater volcanoes, turtles, napoleonfishe and thousands of other species. He is born on Maui and has gills rather than lungs.

Een tas koffie voor in de ochtend!

No one wants to leave the Wunderpus after all this natural beauty but we have to find Zion on the Kelimutu vulcano with its beautiful emerald lakes.

Theo, the driver, smokes as a volcano but he’d rather be a bit more Jamaican.Maybe cannabis could keep him alert. He constantly falls asleep while driving.
The villages are welcoming.Monasteries offer decent places to sleep.

How beautiful this island really is!Lush green vegetation.Kids playing in the fields.A very youthful population.

Dogs are kept as pets, just for snugness. Wealth in another perspective.

Strange people, those Belgians. They constantly want to take pictures with us.Selfies with the giants.Sometimes only their heads, sometimes just the legs…
Everybody wants to chat, despite their poor English knowledge.

Thousand Islands is not just the name of a sauce. It happens to be the name of a marine reserve.Local fishermen are keen to show you around.

Snorkling, teasing flying foxes and fresh barracuda on the barbecue…. a wonderful encounter with an unspoiled part of Indonesia.
